About Dig Down South West
What’s it all about?
Dig Down South West, supported by rural insurance firm Cornish Mutual, is all about gardening with kids encouraging youngsters to plant, grow and eat their own vegetables.
It’s about getting children, particularly when they are young, to understand and think about the importance of fresh and healthy foods to eat both at school and home. To get children to question where their food actually comes from can help contribute to a more sustainable way of living and in turn, improve the diets of school children across the South West. Children love getting involved, so we’re sure that digging and getting their hands dirty will be fun too!
